Account and Data Deletion

fist — Receipt Scanner · Last updated: 24 August 2026 · Türkçe

This page explains how to delete your account and your data in the fist — Receipt Scanner app. You do not need to create an account or reinstall the app to make a deletion request.

SECTION 1 — Deleting from inside the app (recommended)

  1. Open the app and sign in to your account.
  2. Open the Profile screen.
  3. Tap Advanced at the bottom.
  4. Tap Delete My Account.
  5. Enter your password in the confirmation dialog and confirm.

The password is asked for so that someone who picks up an unlocked phone cannot delete the account. Deletion starts the moment you confirm and cannot be undone.

SECTION 2 — Requesting deletion by email

If you cannot get into the app (lost password, no access to your device), send your request to fistdestek@gmail.com. Send it from the email address the account was created with; that is how we verify identity — we do not ask you for documents or ID photos.

SECTION 3 — What is deleted

When your account is deleted, all of the following are permanently removed:

If you are a member of a shared budget, only your membership ends; the other members' receipts are untouched. If you are the owner of the pool, the pool closes, but the members keep their own receipts — only the shared total ends.

SECTION 4 — The copy on your device

The app keeps a copy of your data on your device so it can work offline. Deleting your account clears that copy too. If your account is open on more than one device, those devices remove the data the next time they connect. Uninstalling the app also removes what is left on the device.

To clear only the copy on the device without deleting your account, use Profile → Advanced → Reset All Data; that does not delete your records on the server.

SECTION 5 — What remains after deletion

SECTION 6 — Export before you delete

If you want to keep your records, export them before deleting: the export screen in the app can produce CSV or PDF. After deletion there is no way to bring the data back.

SECTION 7 — Deleting data without deleting your account

You do not have to close your account to delete some of your data.
