fist — Receipt Scanner · Last updated: 24 August 2026 · Türkçe
fist reads photos of your receipts so you can keep track of what you spend. This policy explains what data is collected while you use the app, what it is used for, and what rights you have over it. If you are in Türkiye, the KVKK Data Protection Notice also applies to you.
We do not collect location, contacts, phone numbers, device identifiers or advertising IDs. We use no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
That said, when the app connects to our servers, technical data about the connection itself — such as your IP address and browser/app version — is processed automatically by our infrastructure providers (Supabase and Google) for security and error logging. We do not create those records and do not use them to build a profile of you.
We do not use your data for anything beyond these purposes.
Every record on the server is protected by row-level security rules: only the owner can reach their own data. Receipts you add to a shared pool on the Family plan are visible to the other members of the group, but nobody else can edit or delete your receipt — including the person who pays.
To read your receipt we send the image to Google’s Gemini service. The image is downscaled and re-encoded on your device first, which also strips the photo’s metadata, including any location tag. For the rare image format your device cannot decode, downscaling is not possible and the file is sent as it is. The reading is done by that service, not by the app itself. If you do not want that transfer, do not use the scanning feature; you can add your spending manually, and manually added records are not sent to that service.
The spending analysis does not send your receipts. Only the monthly totals for the last 12 months, per-category amounts and the names of at most ten stores you shop at most often are sent. Individual receipts, line items and images are not part of that request.
Owner of the app and data controller: the individual developer publishing under
the name Omka Labs (a natural person).

You can request the data controller’s name and postal address at that e-mail
if you would like to write to us by post.
fist does not charge anything at the moment. Pro features are open to everyone during the early-access period; no payment is taken in the app, no card details are requested and no payment method is stored. All we keep is which plan you are on and its dates.
When paid plans begin, subscriptions will be sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Even then your card details never reach us and are never stored by us; the store collects the payment. This page will be updated and you will be told in the app before any charging starts.
You can ask us to:
You can delete receipts one by one and remove your entire account from inside the app: Profile → Advanced → Delete My Account. Deletion is confirmed with your password and cannot be undone; the moment you confirm, your receipts, receipt images, settings and account are removed from the servers and from this device. You do not need to write to us for that.
For anything else (a copy of your data, corrections, objections) write to fistdestek@gmail.com; we answer within 30 days at the latest. If you are in Türkiye, all of your rights under the KVKK are listed in the Data Protection Notice.
The app is intended for adults and is published on Google Play with a target audience of 18 and over. The app itself carries no technical age restriction: we do not ask for your age at sign-up, so we do not verify it either. If a young child has an account, we recommend it be used under the supervision of a parent or guardian. If we notice a child’s account opened without a guardian’s consent, or you tell us about one, we delete the account and its data.
All connections are encrypted. Data on the server is protected by row-level access rules and passwords are stored irreversibly. That said, no system is perfectly secure; to protect your account, pick a strong password that you use nowhere else.
If the policy is updated, the date on this page changes. You will be told in the app when a change is significant.
